Here is Tammy, packing up our stuff in our
Anchorage guest room. |
 |
This is our bathroom, complete with shower, toilet, sink,
and Gimli. None of these things are common in our village. |
 |
This is our kitchen, and the hallway toward the front door,
on the day after we arrived. You can see that the neighborhood kids
are pitching in by cleaning the shelves, which are pretty bare. |
 |
A view of our bedroom shortly after our arrival. You
can also just see the head of Yaako Boy, another one of our first helpers.
The best feature of our room is the 6 large windows looking out on the
tundra and river! |
 |
Beautiful Tammy on our king-sized bed that we couldn't bear
to leave behind. You should have seen us going upriver!
S...l...o...w, with Tammy high in the air! A 7 year old boy
helped us move it from the dock to our bedroom and set it up. |
 |
What's the big deal? I was just overcome by the sheer
amount of foodstuffs. Lots and lots of canned goods -- its like living
in a bunker. Hey wait, where's the can opener?!? |
 |
That hutch we had to bring, in the corner of our kitchen
with a few of Tammy's plants. Looks nice huh? I'm glad we
brought it now! |
 |
Most of the rest of our kitchen. The hutch is in the
corner to the left that you can't see. Note the water distilling
machine on our counter. |
 |
Our bedroom again, similar shot to #4 above, except here
we're moved in. Best room in our house! |
